Good afternoon swim families,
I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to give you some updates regarding this summer’s plan. It’s hard to believe that we are starting our 9th summer. Each year we have grown and we are looking forward to another great summer swim season.
As many of you already know my wife and I took over Swim 380 approximately three years ago. We started out as parents looking for a summer activity for our son. My son started fresh out of kindergarten and this year was quite rewarding to see him and many other current/ former summer swimmers transition to competing in high school meets in Denton, Prosper and Frisco. Taking over Swim 380 has been a huge blessing but it has not come without its challenges. Michelle and I both work full-time so it can become challenging to respond right away through email or Facebook and for that I apologize. Our vision for Swim 380 remains the same. We want for every child regardless of ability to be introduced to competitive swimming and learn all four strokes in a recreational type of environment.
My intention for this message is to just give you a quick update as to where we stand going into Summer 2019. We currently have two teams. One in Savannah and the other in Providence. We are working with several HOA’s in the hopes of adding more locations.
We are no longer running swim team out of Paloma Creek, although Paloma Creek residents will have the opportunity to practice at one of are other locations. However, that means we are currently looking for a new location that will be open to us having swim meets.
I can assure you that Michelle and I and the rest of our staff are working everyday to resolve the lack of pool locations and times. If you have friends in neighboring communities or know of a pool that would be conducive to a swim team type setting please let us know.
My plan is to open registration on April 1st. I will run practices out of Savannah and Providence like we have in the past years. My message remains to teach quality swim to children that are interested in learning proper swim strokes, who want to better themselves, or are looking to get to the next level. If you are interested I hope that you will still continue to support us as we move towards the summer. I will post updates on locations and practice times as we move closer to summer.
